Ahhhh Now I'm happy. Well why? because I was able to make a background image 100% from scratch with out looking for references or anything. I'm.. unless the background is very simple or a wallpaper inside a house kinda sucky at painting backgrounds. After making my Under the bridge I felt bad about the fact that I needed to add it under photo manipulation since I didn't draw the bridge.
So to me.. This is a little personal victory.
I don't hope it's too dark. if so I'll upload a brighter version..
wonderfully dark. I like how you created the usual dynamic by placing these light traces caused by the cars driving by. very detailed, and the laserlight in the back is very nice, too
This is great! I like it dark, and the speeding lines of the car lights are clearly visible on the streets below. Good layering of lights and darks, soft and sharp, and the depth is well done as well. I think having it come straight from your brain gives it more character.
I think I'll go look at your other stuff now...

Damn, this is so pretty. I wish I could draw cities like that.

I know what you mean about sucking at backgrounds...I'm the same way. I usually just through in some design or something and hope it works, and soemtimes it does but I wish I would have done something better -_-. Heh anyway, this is very nicely done, and I would consider you one who does not suck a backgrounds anymore

I'd like to show you some awesome nature related work from more or less unknown artists which deserve more attention - this is a must see, you won't regret it!!!
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 5 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
I'm a lover of visual impacts. I like brilliant colors and shapes. And I decided to collect a whole stack of deviations that reflect that taste. These pieces showcased below deserve every bit of publicity you can give them. x)P
