Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactI stared at this artwork for minutes, looking at each little detail, and didn't find any flaw. There's so many things in this art, but still, we can sense the emptiness because everthing is so cold and the character is turning back from the scene, wich has a great impact.
I love the use of soft light and reflections. This is incredibly well done. And the window... funny and sad at the same time, the ultimate intrusive form of empty ridicule publicity.
The first thing I saw in this artwork was the character; he's not lost in the details. The second thing I saw was the "Smile, you are going to war!" because of the title and because this message stands a little more in the window. Clever...
We understand all. The character is sleepless, left alone with his doubts. He's staring at what must be his orders, wondering why... He's turning his back to the superficial world, the city lights, the publicity.
