Wtf. Another badguy tribute?...
Zapped telly yesterday and fell across the awfull Catwoman movie. I had it on while drawin Arthas, laughing at the cheesy comments. I figured that I needed to listen to a critical youtube review of the movie, just to get another giggle...
But what did I find? This new Batman show called; "The Batman" (Uh, how creative) I ofcause needed to see what it looked like... I watched this fellar, jumping around like a gorilla on amphetamine, with fucked up teeth and no shoes; he caught my attention right away. He was, compared to all the other characters in the show, very well animated.
I simply needed to make a little doddle, just for the kicks.
The show itself is sorta.. Boring, drowned in censorship and a terrible dialoge/script. Watched 5 episodes. Only one of them was a great to watch. "The laughing bat" Or something like that...
He's not what I'd consider "The classic joker" tho, but he's funny by himself. He'd do GREAT in much more adult focused cartoon, I'd watch it for sure! But it's sorta lame seeing him now, failing to kill anyone what so ever. And believe me, he tries his best, even bystanders get grenades in their faces, but magically survive.
He just wants people to smile dammit, give him a chance.

I don't agree with you on the animation though, I think it is all very well do. The stylization of the actual art, I'm not the biggest fan of, but I think the way it was all animated is great.

This guy isn't the real Joker to me, he's something else, but it's a good something else. But yea, his design is better than his character.
Hmmm. I just find that his animations are much stronger and extreme than the others, probaly it comes from him just having an extreme body landuage that requires more attention, than Batmans, who is calm and focused. But still. I cheer at some of the movements he does, it looks to me, like the animators had alot of fun doing them.
